Everyone is dying to be part of the art scene.  From cursed sculptures and sinister paintings to creations that take on a life of their own, these shorts explore the dark side of creativity.

The Flock of Forgotten Faces

Directors  A.B. Osborne, Emily McBrayer Hogue - USA - 6 min.   animation


A bird-like girl named Lacuna finds herself aboard a mysterious train with passengers wearing masks. As Lacuna discovers the unique faces under these masks, she draws the attention of the authoritarian Conductor.

  

The Shadow Of The Bay

Director Daniel Llusa Ribes-  Spain - 17 min. horror comedy


It's summer festivity time in La Ràpita, a touristic town of the Ebre Lands, as a group of four friends of varied origins enjoys partying the night away. Meanwhile, the patience of a tourism averse worker reaches a point of no return. With the help of an improbable weapon, the ancient legend of the "marfantos" will come back to life.

  

Zander

Director Michael Matsui -  USA - 9 min. horror 


Olivia is bailed on by her boss as she is stuck cleaning up shop at her art gallery job. Everything is pretty routine, that is until she starts hearing the voices of a small child from the dumpster. The voices Olivia hears are just the beginning of the terror that forces Olivia to face a dark secret she's kept even from herself.

   

Wax Girl

Director Stimson Snead - USA - 9 min.  Psychological horror


An artist unveils his latest muse, a wax figure of a young woman, her hands folded in prayer. As he sketches, he insists that art elevates the lifeless into something human. Yet as the hours pass, subtle cracks appear in his creation and in his carefully maintained confidence. The line between object and subject, art and exploitation, begins to blur. 

The Clayman

Director Bryan Wesley Lewandowski-  USA - 10 min. horror 


After a struggling artist sculpts a man's head from clay, he soon finds that it has come to life and is stalking him.

 

It Draws Closer

Director Joshua David Matthews -  USA - 5 min. horror 


A young woman discovers the creature she just sketched is in the bedroom with her.

    

WolfSlayer

Director John Casey Thompson, Quincy McClellan - USA - 3 min.  animation


When her grandmother is kidnapped by a werewolf, young Kiana can’t afford the bounty hunters’ help. Determined, she steals a sword to face the beast herself, only to be saved at the last moment by a boy named Chase. He defeats the werewolf, but not before being bitten and cursed to become one himself.

Septik Necromation

Director Rachelle Martinez Cruz-  USA - 3 min. animation


Rebeka , a goth middle schooler, is constantly bullied by her classmates Britt and Tiff. After a rough school day she escapes to the graveyard feeling hopeless until an expected undead rockstar rises from the grave. Together, they form a band and set out to win the competition, proving that she has what it takes.

The Painter

Director Birdie Gilreath - USA - 13 min.   horror


After the untimely death of her mother, Casey Miller inherits a painting of a lone cabin in a secluded forest. Casey becomes increasingly distressed as she begins to notice subtle changes appearing in the painting–unsure if they’re real or creations of her mind– while a sinister presence closes in on her.

Macabre

Directors Erik Champney, Zack Cherry-  USA /Canada - 17 min. horror 


Two women working in a gallery after hours are visited by an uninvited guest with a twisted flare for the arts and a nefarious agenda.
