Throughout the year, Atlanta Film Series will present limited-time online showcases featuring outstanding independent films from around the world.
The Queer Horror Showcase, streams June 16-30 at FestFlix.tv and features a curated selection of LGBTQ+ horror shorts brought to you by the Atlanta Horror Film Festival. These films highlight some of the most exciting voices working in horror today.
New collections will be announced throughout the year, giving audiences another way to discover independent films beyond the live events.

Director Hayes Tufts
When Ben brings his new boyfriend, Chuck, home for Thanksgiving dinner, the two must navigate the growing tension as Chuck is not who Ben's family was expecting.

Director Jase Hal Van Meeteren
After Us is a queer driven anthological, post-apocalyptic series about what people will do to survive.
This pilot is about a bereaved father played by Noah Kershisnik (I See the Demon) seeks shelter in an old church, only to discover another survivor played by Nick Garner is living on the other side of a zombie crowded street. As they build a relationship with one another they see a pair of undead below developing a similar relationship. Played by Tori Pence (Studio C) and McKell Rae.
This pilot explores their efforts to communicate and help one another across the distance.

Director Sarey Martin
A prom becomes a funeral rite; a photobooth becomes a portal to other worlds. As Darkswoon casts a spell of divine protection echoing through the multiverse, radiant queer souls pass a secret elixir — one that conjures safety and justice for the most bullied among us, but not without battle scars.

Director Alexander Grapes
A proof of concept short for a feature script focusing on the unique psychosexual aspects of violence and social communities that we ignore in favor of traditional heteronormative life.

CHEATER is loosely based on the El Salvadoran urban legend of "La Siguanaba." Known by many names throughout Central America. But in El Salvador, she haunts urban legends by the name of “La Siguanaba.” In the darkest of nights, she is said to take on the form of a beautiful woman to lure men, particularly unfaithful ones, out to meet their end. Right before they give in, she shape-shifts to her true form taking their lives. And if she shows mercy, it comes at the expense of their sanity.

Reeling from the loss of an international Adidas campaign, the job he thought would be his big (and well-deserved) break, jaded choreographer Travis drives to a friend's desert retreat for a therapeutic getaway to forget how the world still hasn't recognized his magnificent potential.
Travis is surprised to find one of his contemporaries at the house when he arrives - the washed-up, faux-spiritual Willow - but tries to make the most of this unwanted company. When an unexpected phone call from his agent with some good news suddenly spins the unhinged Willow even more off balance, Travis' safety and sanity are thrown into jeopardy.

Loosely inspired by the Baba Yaga folktale, With Iron Teeth follows Sam, a young woman who works at senior center by day and scams the elderly at night. But one fateful evening, Sam and her new hookup Emerald learn that stealing from the wrong old lady has terrifying consequences.
